Deo holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology majoring in mobile systems and mobile commerce. He has over seven years’ experience in telecom value added services in East Africa working both with telecommunication companies and third party service providers. He also carried out some research on how Virtual networks in telecoms are and can be used unscrupulously to the detriment of telecom operators and measures to check that abuse.

Deo is currently a director in Xscape Africa and Oktopus Mobile and is a member of the Wireless Application Service Providers Association in Uganda.
